Hands-on labs

Our hands-on labs enable an immersive learning environment that focuses on providing first-hand experience with products seen in everyday projects.

Advance your installation and maintenance skill set

Increase your installation and maintenance skills and gain firsthand knowledge of Eaton products. Eaton’s hands-on training labs facilitate basic to advanced courses in real situational training for comprehensive learning in true industry settings. Eaton is dedicated to providing continuing education to the current workforce and offers professional development hours (PDHs) and continuing education units (CEUs) at our facilities.

The only global manufacturer for CompEx certification

Our globally recognized industrial CompEx (competency for explosive atmospheres) training labs help you stay up-to-date with installation best practices and the latest codes and standards. Labs are available for NEC and IEC installation and maintenance practices and include power termination, power testing, break and terminal blocks, wiring, termination, endpoint connectivity, inspection, faults, documentation and much more.

Eaton is the only global manufacturer to offer CompEx training courses, offering levels from new to advanced experience levels with certifications for electrical designers, mechanical operators, plant maintenance, electrical inspectors, field contractors and electrical engineers. We also offer a foundational version to help non-field or engineering personnel understand the theory behind explosive environments and the application—with an opportunity for hands-on experience.

Educating students before they join the workforce

Eaton expands our dedication to education through a hands-on lab at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). The university’s electric power systems lab, located at the Swanson School of Engineering, offers students the opportunity to train on a scaled version of our Experience Center labs. Learnings include power system equipment and power quality and are ideal for graduate student research and development.
